Gratitude is a lovely tradition. It\u2019s so easy to take what we have for granted. It\u2019s a bad habit of mine, maybe my way of giving the finger to the past.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But when the table is beautifully prepared and the plates are full, there\u2019s always a moment when I\u2019m reminded that abundance is not something we can count on. Times change. Often for the better. So I offer this simple essay as a way to give thanks for that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
