The first time I went out on sub I sent a microsoft word document and the packet didn’t look very fancy. But, then I had to do a major round of revisions & as I was revising I learned how to use Canva. When I went out on sub the next time this is the packet we included in the hopes it would make me more appealing to publishers. <\/p>\n
FYI, industry standard is you include marketing information for non-fiction books. If you are attempting to sell fiction this is not required. It was just something I did in the hopes it would make me stand out against the competition. <\/p>\n
I think an editor has to fall in love with CE for it to get sold. But my thought was the marketing packet may help the editor convince the rest of the publishing house (during the acquisitions meetings) that I was a good investment.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
